MTV not only changed how music is consumed, but also introduced entertainment into the domestic realm. The agency of music videos becomes evident in the way it shapes cultural identities. They often depict visual narratives of immersion and self-representation, where domestic scenes and the television device are protagonists of the story. Mise-en-abîme as the ultimate distraction medium.
